CJP Explained is an independent satire and commentary publication about Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), the Indian satirical political movement launched online on 16 May 2026. We blend plain-language explainers, political humour and youth-culture analysis for the extremely online.
An independent, unofficial site
This website is not the official website or social account of Cockroach Janta Party. We are not run by, endorsed by or affiliated with the movement, its founders or any political party. For official statements, please visit the movement’s own channels, such as cockroachjantaparty.org. The name and branding of the movement belong to their respective owners.
What we do
We publish explainers, satire, opinion pieces and long reads about youth issues, media literacy, political theatre and internet culture. Our goal is simple: talk about politics the way young people actually talk, honestly, sharply and with jokes.
Why a cockroach?
Cockroaches survive everything. The movement took its symbol from a Chief Justice’s remark about unemployed youth and turned the insult into a badge. Our own motto says it best: small creatures, big conversations. Read the full story in The Meaning Behind the Cockroach Symbol.
Our editorial principles
- Plain language: if an idea cannot be explained simply, we keep working on it.
- Honest humour: we label satire as satire and keep it separate from reporting.
- Sharp, not cruel: satire should poke at power, not pile onto people.
- Show our sources: fact-based explainers link to the reports they rely on.
- Correct quickly: if we get something wrong, tell us and we will review it.
